Interview with "Holly Would Surrender"

Holly Would Surrender is a Pop Punk band from Hamburg, Germany
that formed in 2010. You can listen to their music here :https://www.facebook.com/hollywouldsurrender/info.
I got the pleasure to interview them.

TIPPP: Who are your influences?

HWS: A lot of Pop Punk Bands, let us name some: blink182, New Found Glory, City lights, Man Overboard, Nofx and a lot more.

TIPPP: Are you guys on tour? If so with who? If not do you have any coming up and with who?

HWS: Yes we are right now touring North Germany as good as we can besides our Daily Jobs. We played a lot of shows with our Friends Fire in Fairyland. Check them here: www.gireinfairyland.de

TIPPP: How did you guys come up with the name "Holly Would Surrender"?

HWS: It was an idea of our first drummer. He came up with the idea to do something with Hollywood/ Holly Would
So we simply looked After a word that Would fit right!

TIPPP: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being in a band?

HWS: Hanging out together and playing shows... that is the best thing about being in a band!

TIPPP: I know a few bands from Germany but overall what do you guys think of the pop punk scene
 there?

HWS: The Pop Punk scene is very small. There are not many German Pop Punk bands. We have a lot more political Punk Bands and a good Ska scene in Germany.

TIPPP: How was the feedback on "The Great Escape"?

HWS: The feedback was okay, but Germany doesn't really have The scene for The style of Music.

TIPPP: Anything else you want to share with everyone?

HWS: If anyone wants to support us and the German Pop Punk scene! like us on facebook and buy our music!!
Tell your friends about us...

Thank you

Interview with "For All Of This"

For All Of This is a Pop Punk band from South Jersey that formed in 2012. Check out their jams here http://www.facebook.com/forallofthisnj/info. I got the pleasure to interview Ed & Frank from the band.

 TIPPP: Who are your influences?

FAOT: I think that instrumentally our influences range from bands like Saves the Day, and New Found Glory, all the way to bands like Major League and I Call Fives. My personal influences for vocals/lyrics definitely come from The Story So Far and The Ghost Inside.

TIPPP: Are you guys on tour? If so with who? If not do you have any coming up and with who?

FAOT: We are not, but we were hoping to plan a weekend tour or two for the summer, but you can definitely expect one or two over the course of the coming winter, and we have a few bands in mind, but no one likes spoilers!

TIPPP: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being in a band?

FAOT:  Frank-We can all agree that our favorite thing about being in the band is the positive feedback from our fans, and seeing them know the words and singalong definitely is a great feeling. Our least favorite thing would probably have to be coming up with money for recording and our soon to come out merch. But we knew the deal when we signed up!
Ed-My favorite part about the band is the women like me now!

TIPPP: Any music videos in the near future?

FAOT: Yes! Over the next month or so we're going to be getting live footage of our single From Here On Out! We're also filming some random adventures, so if fans are interested in being apart they just have to be in the right place at the right time.

TIPPP: How has the feedback been on the sampler?

FAOT: We've gotten a positive feedback so far! That being said, from us no two songs are alike. We're really trying to push the envelope and appeal to everyone, and hopefully when we finish recording in the next few months we'll get the same feedback on our debut EP.

TIPPP: How did you guys form?

FAOT: 3 of 5 of the members were previously together in another poppunk band. Something's went south, as can be expected from young local bands, and we connected the dots. We've all been friends for a pretty long time, now we're just doing what we love.

TIPPP: Anything else you want to share with everyone?

FAOT:I just want to reiterate to the fans that we have a few busy months coming up. Between finishing writing and recording our debut EP, we're also shooting live footage and sweet hang out seshs for a music video for our single From Here On Out, and ordering t-shirts very soon. We're really excited for everything the future will bring and hope you are too! You stay Sunny, America.

Interview with "Hello Hearless"

Hello Heartless is a Pop Punk band from Columbus Ohio that formed in 2010.
Check out their jams here http://www.facebook.com/#!/helloheartless/info.
I got the pleasure to interview Bethany from the band.

TIPPP:Who are your influences

Hello Heartless:
Lets see... if top 40 and punk rock had a baby girl, they'd name it Hello Heartless.

We are inspired by all sorts of music. Except maybe country, yeah country sucks. While Kyle probably has the most variety in his iPod, Dave's roots are hella punk and Bethany loves super charged pop punk and alt rock. Everything from Alkaline Trio to No Doubt to Blink 182. From House of Heroes Lady Gaga to Taking Back Sunday to punk like H20 and Suicide Machines. If it gets you movin' we're in.

TIPPP:What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being in a band?

Hello Heartless: Probably live shows and fans. When the crowd sings the lyrics with us and dances to the music that we created, its just awesome. We get pumped up when fans gets as excited about the music as we do. We write songs and sharing them is so thrilling, but gaining actual fans, is honestly the most amazing thing. Least favorite is probably that the gas money it costs for an out of town show. We've had a blast playing out of town shows so far, spending time together, meeting new people and going on road trips as band. We just wish we could do it more.

TIPPP: Are you guys on tour right now , If so with who? If not do you have any coming up and with who?

Hello Heartless:
No, at the moment we are wrapping up writing our second EP and hitting the studio after our drummer, Dave, returns from spring break with a sexy tan. Then we will be playing the hell out of our new music. Columbus shows confirmed are Dude Locker SAT 4/20, Ruby Tuesday Live SAT 5/4 and Kobo Live SUN 5/12 with more in the works including Dayton, Cincinnati and Akron.
TIPPP: How did you form?
Hello Heartless: A friend of mine told me that I reminded him of his band mate Dave, just the female form. He said we had similar tastes in music, similar jokes, similar personalities, and even a few physical commonalities, like being small but could pack a punch. It stuck with me and I took it as a compliment. Months later, I reached out to Dave to start playing music. Dave and his wife were due to have a baby and he admitted he was already considering returning to music. Dave and I wrote songs in a basement on and off together for almost a year, writing a good chuck of our Six Feet Under EP without a bassist. Hello Heartless was not officially complete however until the addition of Kyle on bass almost a year later. Kyle and Dave went to high school together and have been in multiple bands over the years.
TIPPP: How has the feedback been on the newest ep "six feet under"?
Hello Heartless: The feedback is excellent. We are still a very small local band and are grateful and humble about any kind of support we gain. "Monster" is a crowd favorite at live shows for sure. But its so awesome to hear how much people actually like the whole CD and not just the "single". Some like "I Refuse" the best, some "Kicks", some "Cavalier", etc. Its difficult writing a set list for shows because always want to play every song we have. The songs are all very different from each other too which is probably why favorite songs vary among fans.
TIPPP: Any music videos in the near future?
Hello Heartless:  We have a music video we threw together for "Kicks" actually on our youtube channel accessible via helloheartless.com which some random candid clips from backyards, a local basement show and studio time. When the new EP comes out this Spring, we will definitely be making a new music video for our new single...
TIPPP: Anything else you want to share with everyone?
Hello Heartless:
Well, I'd say get to know Hello Heartless. We are super friendly and typically book a lot of our own shows. We are all laid back people who have families and jobs and responsibilities but also love to play music together. We don't think there is another band like us, anywhere and we like that. We are mindful of venues, considerate of other bands and their fans, we designed all our own merch, built and update our own website, and we customize our own gear. We threw a HUGE Halloween party last year and will be doing it again this year, so look out for that too. Hit us up on facebook, like and share our page and support local music.
