Interview with "Next Stop Atlanta"

Next Stop Atlanta is a Pop Punk band from Preston., England that formed in 2010. Check out their jams here https://www.facebook.com/nextstopatlanta.

TIPPP: Who are your influences?

NSA:  Georgia (Vocals) - In a nutshell I would say Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro, Hot Water Music. Bands with artistic integrity who inspire us to pick up our instruments and play.

TIPPP:  How did you guys come up with the name "Next Stop Atlanta"?

NSA:  Nik (Guitar) - I had the idea of naming the band Next Stop... something. With Atlanta being in Georgia and our singer's name Georgia, we opted for Next Stop Atlanta. Not just a pretty face.

TIPPP:  I personally think the english music community is sick but what do you guys think of it?

NSA:  Blake (Bass) - It's building solid foundations and some fantastic bands are emerging and breaking out. It has a real DIY ethic and ethos with bands, managers, promoters and so on all helping each other out. It's like a family in some ways.

TIPPP:  What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being in a band?

NSA:  Georgia - Favorite thing is touring! We love it. Getting on the road and meeting fans and new bands is what we are all about. I don't think we have a least favorite thing, we try to see the positives in everything. If I had to say something it would be the cost of being in a band. Financially we are always broke!

TIPPP: Are you guys on tour? If so with who? If not do you have any coming up and with who?

NSA:  Nik - We head out on tour in the UK next week. All the dates can be found on our facebook page. It's a handful of dates with the awesome The Afterparty. We are stoked for it! Early August we go out again on a short run of dates, and again late September. Its busy in the NSA camp!.

TIPPP:  How has the feedback been on the ep "The Things You Do  Best"?. When are you guys dropping new jams?

NSA:  Georgia - The feedback has been incredible, people massively enjoy the ep! For us that means we are doing something right and would want to develop the band and take it to the next level and beyond. We start demoing our full length next month and then head into the studio October time to record the debut album. Most of the album is written and every song is sounding great!

TIPPP:  Anything else you want to share with everyone?

NSA:  Nik - Yes, if you want an exclusive I can give some song titles on the upcoming album... "Cutting Teeth" - "Yes, I am a Disappointment" - "Home" - "Closure". That's all your getting! Thanks for checking us out facebook.com/nextstopatlanta
